“Bravo,Jos!”criedOsborne。

“Thankyou,dearJoseph。”saidAmelia,quitereadytokissherbrother,ifheweresominded。(AndIthinkforakissfromsuchadearcreatureasAmelia,IwouldpurchaseallMr。Lee’sconservatoriesoutofhand。)

DobbinofOursCuff’sfightwithDobbin,andtheunexpectedissueofthatcontest,willlongberememberedbyeverymanwhowaseducatedatDr。Swishtail’sfamousschool。ThelatterYouth(whousedtobecalledHeigh-hoDobbin,Gee-hoDobbin,andbymanyothernamesindicativeofpuerilecontempt)wasthequietest,theclumsiest,and,asitseemed,thedullestofallDr。Swishtail’syounggentlemen。
