’Well,sir,’saidthelatterpersonage,’Ihavelivedinhallandabbey,townandcountry,hereandabroadforfortyyearsandmore,andshouldknowathingortwo,andasIamalivingman,I

Thisconcludingsentencewasutteredwithananimationandexcitement,whichthemereannouncementofanabstractmoralsentimentcouldhardlyaccountfor。
